A dreadful Tuesday -- 3:16 P.M.
I never thought I'd escape cubicle 27. Years of selling my labor at bargain basement prices dulled me into a "settle for" attitude and lifestyle.
Then I noticed Mike cleaning out his desk. I was ready to offer my sympathies, when his ear-to-ear smile caught my eye. Turns out, he wasn't fired, he was leaving of his own free will!
"Mike", I asked, "what's up? Where you going?" He shot back, "I started my own home business a few months back and replaced my income. I don't need this one anymore."
"What? It's not one of those soap deals, is it?" He chuckled, "No. Home business ain't what it use to be. The Net has changed everything. Here, check out this site. They'll give you a free system just like mine. That's how I got started."
